PUBLIC NOTARY

Anderson Boemi Lawyers is proud to offer full notary services to our clients. Our principal Warwick Anderson is an appointed Notary Public, with years of experience.

What is a Public Notary?

A Public Notary is an Australian solicitor with more than 5 years experience who has completed their prescribed Notarial Practice Course. In NSW, under the Public Notaries Act 1997 (NSW), Public Notaries are appointed by the Supreme Court of NSW. The primary role of a Public Notary is to witness, certify and execute documents for international purposes.

When do I need a Public Notary?

If you are required to provide official documents overseas, you often will need them to be notarised. Many overseas authorities will request documents to be notarised before they will accept them, although it is always a good idea to have a document notarised if you intend to send it overseas. Once a document has been notarised it is given a notarial seal which is internationally recognised by most overseas authorities. There are many different documents that need to be notarised, most commonly these include:

  • Overseas passport applications;
  • Affidavits;
  • Execution of  powers of attorneys;
  • Birth, death and marriage certificates;
  • True copies of original Australian documents and more.

How can I get my documents notarised with Anderson Boemi Lawyers?
